Helen K. McGrath

Mrs. Helen Katherine "Alice" (Songin) McGrath age 92 years died on Thursday Evening, November 1st, 2007 in the Charlwell House Nursing Home in Norwood. Born in Walpole, the daughter of the late Paul G. and Lenora M. (Koslowski) Songin. Educated in Walpole, she was a life long resident of the town.

A homemaker for all of her adult life. She did work in the kitchen at Factory Mutual , worked retail at Sears and Stop & Shop. During World War II she made ammunition at Bird & Son in East Walpole.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. McGrath Loving mother of John J. McGrath of Martinsville, Virginia, Phillip Thomas McGrath , Jean Simmons both of Bourne, Judith Ann Violet of California, James A. McGrath of Wrentham, and Harold J. McGrath of East Walpole. Cherished grandmother of 24 and great grandmother of 43 Sister of Fredrick Songin of Arlington, Walter Songin of Walpole, Harold Songin of East Walpole, the late Edward "Butch" Songin, the late Jennie Kunelius, the late Lenora Lincoln, and the late Stella McCahill.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Tuesday, November 6th, 2007, @ 9AM. Interment in Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole. Visiting hours are Monday Afternoon, November 5th, 2007 , from 4pm to 8pm, in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
