Helen Ethel Jones

Helen Ethel (Schelin) Jones, age 88, passed away peacefully in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Arthur and Ethel Wally Christina (Peterson) Schelin. She was raised in Hyde Park and Norwood and was educated in Norwood.

She went to work as a secretary for the Boston Insurance Company before marrying her husband, Frederick A. Jones, on July 19, 1952. They made their home in Walpole, Massachusetts and as Helen's family began to grow, she transitioned to the role of a homemaker to raise and care for her young family.

Helen enjoyed traveling, gardening and cooking. She especially sloved hosting parties and family gatherings.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Jones.
Loving mother of Diane Benenato and her husband Vincent of Dedham, Kenneth S. Jones of Walpole, Arthur F. Jones and his wife Valerie of Norton, and the late Jennifer Parquette. Also survived by her son in law Barry Parquette of Milford, NH
Cherished grandmother of Vinnie, Bobby, Christopher, Kristin, Kevin, Kimberly, and Bradley.
Sister of Harry Schelin and his wife Virginia of Richmond, VA and the late Evelyn Ellis.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Helen's Life Celebration on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10:30AM to 12:30PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A graveside service will be held in Terrace Hill Cemetery in South Walpole on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
