Mrs. Helen T. (O'Neil) Carroll age 82 years died in the Briarwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Needham, Massachusetts on Monday, January 28th, 2013. Born in Dedham, Massachusetts on November 22nd, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Sullivan) O'Neil. She graduated from Dedham High School with the Class of 1948, entered into Saint Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Brighton and graduated with the Class of 1951. Mrs. Carroll was a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of service at the Quincy City Hospital. She worked at the hospital while raising her 7 children. A resident of Walpole since 1999, moving here from North Quincy Her greatest love was for her family, and especially for her grandchildren, she never missed a sporting event or school event. Always willing to travel to see her grandchildren compete. Helen was an avid Red Sox fan. A spiritual person, she was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Parish in Quincy and a long time volunteer at the Long Island Shelter. Most recently she was a member of the Walpole Council on Aging.

Beloved wife of the late Lloyd V. Carroll Loving mother of Richard and his wife Margaret Carroll of Reading, Joseph and his wife Kathleen Carroll of Hull, Ann and her husband Paul DeFazio of Foxboro, Edward and his wife Amy Carroll of Longmeadow, Martha and her husband Michael Ryan of Walpole, Barbara and her husband Mario Pacini of Foxboro and the late William Carroll. Cherished grandmother of Emily & Sean Carroll, Matthew & Jennifer DeFazio, Jack, Molly & Michael Carroll, Thomas, Elizabeth & Daniel Ryan, Chiara, Marco & Juliana Pacini. Sister of Barbara McKay of Dedham, William O'Neil of Westwood, the late Mary Berlo, and the late Joseph O'Neil.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route #27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Saturday, February 2, 2013 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Friday, February 1, 2013 from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Memorial donations may be made to: Saint Vincent dePaul Society 18 Canton Street Stoughton, Massachusetts 02072.
