Harry G. Thomas

Mr. Harry G. Thomas age 76 years died in the Boston Medical Center , Boston , Massachusetts on Sunday morning, July 12, 2009. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts, the son of Harry and Grace (Steeves) Thomas. Mr. Thomas graduated from Walpole High School and entered into the United States Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict. A lifelong resident of Walpole.

Upon his return from the Army, he went to work at Van Buren's Plastics , Walpole, Massachusetts as a Machine Mechanic.

Harry was an accomplished woodworker, his work is on display at the Walpole Historical Society. He had made scale models of the Walpole Town Hall, the Stone School, the Train Station, and the East Walpole Clock Tower. His interests in woodworking also included clocks, jewelery boxes and furniture.

Beloved husband of Arlene A. (Aho) Thomas and the late Greta (Svensen) Thomas Loving father of Steven Thomas and his companion Mary Ann Pupek, Kevin Thomas and his companion Debra Amos, Renee Thomas all of Walpole, the late Dennis G. Thomas and the late Peter M. Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Michael Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Scott Thomas of Indianapolis, Justin Thomas of Foxboro and the late Jackie Thomas. Brother of the late Thelma Doolittle.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Saturday @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Friday afternoon from 5pm to 8pm. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Walpole.
