Harry Raymond Parker, Jr. age 76 years died in the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday, May 16, 2011. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 24, 1934; he was the son of the late Harry Raymond and Isabella (McCauley) Parker. He graduated from Dedham High School with the class of 1952. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He has been a resident of Wrentham, Massachusetts for the past 6 years moving there from East Walpole, Massachusetts, where he lived for 41 years.
Mr. Parker was the head custodian at the Walpole High School for 25 years. Previously, he worked for Bird and Son in East Walpole as the Paper Mill Foreman.
He was a member of the Norwood, VFW, and was a former Board Member.
Mr. Parker was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating.
Beloved husband of the late Florence V. (Saulnier) Parker. Loving father of Denise Richards and her husband Dan of CA, Andrew Parker and his wife Ruth of CT, Darlene Lazaron of Foxboro, Sandra Iadonisi of Attleboro, Rhonda Irving and Cal Kennedy of S.Easton, Raymond Parker and his wife Susan of Wrentham, and the late Susan Apostle. Cherished grandfather of 22 and great grandfather of 5.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 4 PM to 8 PM. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Massachusetts.
