Harriet Victoria (Ziriddamu) Zalwango, age 48, passed away in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday, March 12, 2020, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kampala, Uganda on January 31, 1972, she was the daughter of Henry Lubega Ziriddamu ( RIP) and Christine (Nakamya) Bukenya. She was raised and educated in Uganda, earning her associate degree with a focus on accounting.
Harriet immigrated to the United States of America in 2001, and made her home in Norwood, MA. She earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant and took up a position as direct care assistant with HouseWorks Home Health Care in Newton, where she worked for more than 15 years.
She is survived by the love of her life Deogratias J. Nsamba, her two loving children, Quinton E. Nsamba and Brandon J. Nsamba all of Norwood.
A loving daughter to Christine and Morris Bukenya.
She is the cherished sister to a long line of siblings in Uganda, USA, U.K and Canada
Harriet is also survived by many uncles and Aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Harriet’s family will gather privately for her funeral services and burial in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
