Harold M. Hope age 75 years died in the McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich, Massachusetts on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 21, 1937, he was the son of the late George and Hazel Mae (Bowley) Hope. He graduated from the Boston Trade High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He has been a resident of West Yarmouth, Massachusetts for the past 12 years moving there from Walpole, Massachusetts.
Mr. Hope worked as a Registry of Motor Vehicles Officer and later became a Walpole Police Officer. He retired after 25 years of service. He also owned and operated the HM Hope Remodeling Company.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, and being on the ocean.
Loving father of Michael W. & his wife Robin Hope of Mashpee and Susan and her husband James Davis of Easton. Cherished grandfather of Allyson and Janelle Hope of Mashpee and Rachel, Christopher, and Rebecca Davis of Easton. Brother of Nelson Hope of Walpole, Ronald Hope of Raynham, Hazel Lovuolo of Florida, Ethel Monroe of Dedham, Lois Walsh of West Roxbury, the late John Hope, and the late William Hope. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2-4PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Funeral and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McCarthy Care Center 73 Service Road E. Sandwich, MA 02537.
