Giovambattista Carpentieri

MR. GIOVAMBATTISTA CARPENTIERI AGE 82 DIED ON TUESDAY EVENING, SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2006 IN THE EPOCH OF SHARON NURSING FACILITY, SHARON, MASSACHUSETTS.

Born in Carifa , Italy a province of Avellino on February 20, 1924, the son of the late Luigi & Maria (DeLeo) Carpentiero. He was the step son of Antonette (Scalzi) Carpentiero.

A resident of Walpole since 1950 moving here from Italy.

Mr. Carpentieri retired from the Laborers Union Local 138, Norwood, Massachusetts in 1986.

He was a wine maker, a member of the Italian American Club, Walpole, the Sons of Italy, Loggia 2641, Norwood, Plays Bocce , he enjoyed playing his accordion. Mr. Carpentieri loved the springtime, planting his garden and above all being with his family and friends.

Beloved husband of Barbara (Cardinale) Carpentieri Loving father of Luigi Carpentiero of Winthrop, Joseph Carpentiero of Walpole, Maria A. Carpentieri of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Antonia Carpentieri , Donna Lee Mahoney both of Walpole and Anna Carpentieri of Portland, Oregon. Cherished grandfather of 4 Brother of Angelo Carpentiero of Rancho Mirage, California , Anne Lehman of Sacramento California, the late Luigi Carpentiero, Michael Carpentieri, and Rosemarie Carpentiero. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church, East Street (Rt 27) @ Diamond Street Walpole on Saturday Morning, September 9th, 2006 at 10AM. Visiting hours are Friday afternoon, September 8th, 2006 from 5PM to 8 PM, in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
