Gertrude M. Rowell

Gertrude M. (Concannon) Rowell, age 88, died in the Victoria Haven Nursing Facility in Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Born in Norwood on September 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James and Delia (Connolly) Concannon. She graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1943. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1955 moving from Norwood.

She worked in the Walpole Public School System as a School Cafeteria Assistant at the Walpole High School.

Beloved wife of the late Richard E. Rowell. Loving mother of Richard A. Rowell of Framingham, Stephen J. Rowell of Franklin, Carol A. Klein of Millis, Christine E. Berry of CT, and James D. Rowell of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Meghan Rowell, Kaitlan Rowell, and Scott McDavitt and great grandmother of Nina McDavitt.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Gertrude’s Life Celebration on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 4-7 PM and Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
