Gertrude M. McLaughlin

Mrs. Gertrude M. (Lynch) McLaughlin age 94 years died in the Newbridge on the Charles Nursing Center in Dedham, Massachusetts on Wednesday evening March 16, 2011. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 12, 1916, the daughter of James and Ellen (Maher) Lynch. She graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls with the Class of 1934.

A homemaker for most of her adult life, she did volunteer for the Girls Scouts of America for many years and worked as a program coordinator for them.

A resident of Walpole since 1984 moving here from Hyde Park, where she was an active member of Saint Joseph's Church, teaching CCD for many years.

Mrs. McLaughlin enjoyed arts and craft.

Beloved wife of the late Robert F. McLaughlin Loving mother of Marjorie A. Robitaille of Norton, Elaine M. McLaughlin-Sheppard of Norwood, Jean M. Schmidt of Weymouth and the late Robert F. McLaughlin Cherished grandmother of Robert and Paul Gagel of Norton and Gregory Schmidt of Weymouth sister of the late James Lynch, the late Edward Lynch, the late Charles Lynch and the late Patrick Lynch Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated in the Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Saturday, March 19, 2011 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Friday, March 18, 2011 from 4pm to 8pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Saint Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury..
