Geraldine Matilda (Kerrigan) Connors, age 89, passed away peacefully in the Norwood Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts on May 17, 1927, she was one of 6 children born to the late John Joseph and Matilda Ann (Melanson) Kerrigan. She was raised in North Quincy and attended North Quincy High School with the Class of 1946.
Geraldine married Herbert J. Connors, Jr. of Boston on April 21, 1951 in Quincy. In 1956 they made their home in East Walpole where they raised their seven children. After settling in East Walpole, Geraldine became an active parishioner of Saint Mary's Church where she taught CCD. She took a job as a department manager, working for many years at Almy's Department Store at the Walpole Mall.
Geraldine was a fun-loving, faithful woman, who always put the needs of others before herself. While surrounded by her family in the hospital, when she was asked if she needed anything, her response was "I have everything I need right here."

Loving mother of Herbert Connors, IV and his wife Ellen of East Walpole, Maureen Hubbell and her husband Roy of Norton, Kathleen Wright and her husband Brian of New Ipswich, NH, Colleen Summers and her late husband William of Palm Beach, FL, Geraldine Shaheen and her husband William of Denver, CO, Pauline Bailey of South Attleboro, Arlene Canning and her husband Thomas of North Attleboro, and the late Herbert Connors, III.
Cherished grandmother of Monica Hubbell, William Summers, Wessley Summers, Katelyn Bourne, Kimberly Glow, Kristin Shaheen, Brittany Shaheen, Scott Shaheen, Shawn Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Michael Poirier, Jacqueline Tiberi and Eric Poirier.
Sister of Annette Godfrey, the late Pauline L. Sammon (Geraldine's Twin), the late John J. Kerrigan, Jr., and her other twin sisters the late Mary Hurley and the late Madeline Jackson.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Geraldine's Life Celebration on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2-5 PM and Monday, February 27, 2017 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
