George Omer DeMotte, age 81, died in the Charlwell House in Norwood, Massachusetts on Friday, June 5, 2015. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary (Ouelette) DeMotte. He was raised in Boston and attended Blessed Sacrament School in Jamaica Plain. George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
After his discharge in 1955, George married the love of his life, Neita R. Mendall on April 21, 1956. He took a position with the Teamsters Union, Local 25, and together with his wife, he settled in Walpole, Massachusetts in 1974.
George spent 40 years driving trucks for Red Bull Express, which later became NewPenn. He retired in 1995 after 40 years of dedicated service.
Family always came first in George's life, he loved spending time with his wife and sons.
Beloved husband of the late Neita R. (Mendall) DeMotte.
Loving father of George D. DeMotte of Walpole, Gary S. DeMotte of Walpole, the late Richard A. DeMotte, and the late Paul J. DeMotte.
Brother of David DeMotte of Boston.
All services will be private at the request of George's Family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Peace Abby Foundation, 16 Lavender Street, Millis, MA 02054. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
