Frederick Eugene Weinkauf

FREDERICK EUGENE WEINKAUF AGE 72 Years died in the VA Medical Center, West Roxbury, on Wednesday, May 10th, 2006. Born in Mishawaka, Indiana on November 28, 1933, Son of the late Paul & Helen (Thomas) Weinkauf. A 1951 graduate of Wishawaka High School. He entered into the United States Army and served his country in Korea as a Corporal.

He met his wife while in the Service and returned with Joan to Walpole. A Plumber at Kendall Mills for many years, and became a call firefighter for the Kendall Company. When the Town of Walpole went to a permenant Fire Department , Mr. Weinkauf was one of the first men to apply and be accepted at the Walpole Fire Department. He worked part time for5 years as a Locksmith at Boston City Hospital

A member of the Walpole VFW Post 5188, where he was the Post Commander, he moved on and completed all chairs in District 5, once at the State Level of VFW he was the Americanism Chairman

Mr. Weinkauf's greatest love was for his wife and his Grandchildren, His love of cards, car races, demolition derbies and he loved to travel especially by car. Driving vacations, going to the Cape Cod Canal, camping on the Cape

He loved his time working at the Sergi Farm in Belmont (volunteer)

(DeMichele) Weinkauf Loving father of MaryJo &her husband Brian Lebel of Walpole, Annette & her husband Chris Richmond of Walpole,and Paula & her husband Michael DiGiandomenico of Norwood Cherished grandfather of AnnMarie Richmond, Amy Rose Richmond, Anthony DiGiandomenico, and Maria DiGiandomenico Brother of Barbara Langdon of Indiana and the late Marlene Kifowit

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church Route 27 @ Diamond Street Walpole on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, May 15, 2006 2 to 4 and 7-9 at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park. Canton.
