Frank A. Reynard, age 82, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Bernard and Josephine (Cassan) Fuchs. Frank was raised in Ithaca, New York, where he graduated from Ithaca High School with the Class of 1959. Following his graduation, Frank enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country.
Frank married his beloved wife, Mary E. Cramer, on April 28, 1962, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Ithaca, New York. The young couple initially made their home in Ithaca and went on to spend a year in Binghamton, before settling in Albany, where Frank enrolled in the State University of New York. Frank's liberal ways were challenged at SUNY, learning to be fiscally conservative on his way to earning his bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting.
In 1969, after earning his degree, Frank and Mary moved to the north shore of Massachusetts, making their home in picturesque Nahant, where they welcomed their daughter, Nicole. Frank landed a job with Raytheon, working out of their Waltham office and in 1971, he moved his family to the town of Swampscott. As a integral part of the Raytheon team, Frank was asked to work abroad for some time. His first stop was Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where Frank and Mary welcomed their second child, Paul. Two years later, Frank and his young family landed in Gerrards Cross, England, where he and Mary welcomed their third child, Elise. With his work abroad complete, Frank and his family returned to Massachusetts, making a quick stop in Medfield, before settling in Walpole in 1983. Frank continued his career with Raytheon, working in the internal auditing department for 35 years before retiring in 2005.
Throughout his life, Frank enjoyed staying active, both physically and mentally. As an avid runner, he laced up his shoes every day, putting countless miles under his feet. In more recent years, following his retirement, Frank looked forward to meeting his friends at Planet Fitness in Norwood, getting in a good workout, and enjoying the comradery that went with it. Back at home, Frank enjoyed keeping his mind sharp, learning about history through various books and biographies, often exchanging books and discussing viewpoints with his closest friends.
Most of all, Frank loved spending time with his family. He was an incredibly proud father, celebrating his children's accomplishments over the years. Frank was delighted to welcome his grandchildren and was equally proud of everything they achieved. His family extended well beyond his children and grandchildren, opening his home to his many pet dogs and cats over the years. No matter what might be happening in his life, Frank's family could always bring a smile to his face.
