Francis "Frank" Joseph Sansone, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the All-American Assisted Living Facility in Wrentham, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 25, 1928, he was the son of Paul and Anna (Solari) Sansone. Frank was raised in East Walpole, Massachusetts along with his brother Robert and his sisters Pauline, Marie, and Anne, who lovingly gave him the nickname "Bubber". Frank attended Walpole High School where he was a three-sport athlete, changing his uniform with the seasons to play football, hockey, and baseball.

After his graduation from Walpole High with the class of 1945, Frank built houses with his brother and father. In February of 1951, Frank was drafted into the United States Army. Frank was stationed at Fort Jackson in South Carolina and Camp Rucker in Alabama, where he became an expert in radio transmitting. He was honorably discharged in February of 1953 as a Corporal. Upon his return home, Frank resumed working with his family. In 1957, a new business was launched - Sansone Brothers’ Loam.

On October 27, 1963, Frank married the love of his life, Catherine "Cathie" Costello, in Saint Mary's Church, East Walpole. They remained in Walpole raising their three children. Frank was a reserved and mild-mannered man, but he would light up when reminiscing and sharing stories from his youth with his children.

In his free time, Frank enjoyed photography and working in his garden with his wife, Cathie. He looked forward to reaping the rewards of their labor, savoring the times when he could enjoy one of Cathie's delicious meals made with the veggies he grew. Frank enjoyed spending time in Florida with family.

Most important to Frank was his family. He had a close bond with his siblings and relished the times they would get together. Later in life, Frank would be honored with the title of "Grampy". He loved having the grandchildren over, taking them to "the Pit" to ride in the dump trucks, backhoes, and loaders. He loved being a father, but especially enjoyed being a grandfather. Frank's family was the highlight of his life, and he will be missed greatly.

Beloved husband of the late Catherine Elizabeth (Costello) Sansone.

Loving father of Paula Anne Stapleton, and her husband Christopher, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Cathy Marie Robinson, and her husband Todd, of Milford, Massachusetts, and Joseph Francis Sansone of Coral Springs, Florida.

Cherished grandfather of Abby Robinson, Emily Stapleton, Brendan Robinson, James "Jake" Stapleton, Anna “Annie” Robinson, and Jordan Sansone.

Brother of Anne Pettis Obert of Somerville, South Carolina, Robert Sansone of Walpole, the late Pauline Grasso, and the late Marie Moore.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
