Francis Mark "Frank" Galasso, age 81, passed away peacefully in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, December 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Petruzzi) Galasso. He was raised in Connecticut and graduated from Wibly High School with the Class of 1954. After graduation, he took a position in a local Waterbury Meat Market, working as a meat cutter, saving money to attend Bentley School of Accounting and Finance.
Frank graduated from Bentley in 1958 and joined the National Guard, where he served for a period of 10 years. During this time, he married his loving wife, Barbara A. Titus, in 1960, and the young couple made their home together in Norwood. In 1961, Frank and Barbara settled in Walpole, Massachusetts, where they raised their two sons, Christopher and Michael. Frank took a job with Finest Supermarket as a meat cutter and began taking night classes at Boston College to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. While attending BC, he began his accounting career, taking a job with Walter Baker Chocolate. He went on to work for Raytheon, Damon IEC, and Abiomed, all before starting his own accounting company, FMG & Associates in 1985.
Frank loved his home in Walpole and spent countless hours working on various home improvement projects. He also believed in giving back to his community and the future of the youth. As such, he dedicated his time to the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 134 in Walpole for many years.
As an avid traveler, Frank enjoyed taking trips across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. He most loved spending time in Pompano Beach, Florida in the winter months and on Cape Cod in both South Dennis and South Yarmouth in the summer months. These particular locations allowed his to relax while fishing or spending time on his boat. More than anything, Frank was a dedicated family man, who looked forward to being surrounded by those he loved.
