Francis W. Driscoll

Francis W. "Frank" Driscoll age 86 years died in the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17, 1923; he was the son of the late Patrick and Ellen (Hale) Driscoll. He graduated from Brookline High School with the class of 1941. After high school, Mr. Driscoll entered the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. Upon his return, he attened the Fischer Business School and graduated in 1948. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 51 years moving from Brookline, Massachusetts.

He worked as a sales representative for the Nabisco Company for 33 years, retiring in 1984.

Mr. Driscoll was a Boston Sports Fan, an avid golfer, and a founding member of the Walpole Boosters Club.

Beloved husband of the late Cecile "Sis" (St Martin) Driscoll. Loving father of Mary-Ellen Thurm of Potomac, MD, Thomas F. Driscoll of Mt. Airy, MD, Bruce W. Driscoll of Mansfield and Judith D. Beise of Mansfield. Cherished grandfather of Michael Thurm, Jennifer Thurm, Jeffrey Thurm, Dylan Driscoll, Casey Driscoll, Brenna Driscoll, Ethan Beise, and Lindsay Beise. Brother of the late George P. Driscoll.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 2-6PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
