Fran worked in many administrative rolls throughout her career, but her favorite was working at Northeastern University where she worked for over 20 years. She was known and loved by faculty, administrators, and students alike and was granted the prestigious John D. O’Bryant Award for her contributions to the African American community at Northeastern. She retired from NU in 2004 to pursue her passions for writing, travelling, and volunteering at a variety of local community organizations. She was also an active member of Waters Church in Norwood, MA serving in a variety of roles; and most recently she joined Grace Church in Reno and was very active in the Widows Group which she loved.
