Frances Estelle Hall

Frances Estelle Hall, age 91, passed away in Wingate at Sharon on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on October 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances E. (Trask) Hall. She spent her early years in Dorchester, before settling with her family in Sharon, Massachusetts. She received her education from the Sharon Public Schools and graduated from Sharon High School with the Class of 1943. While in high school, Frannie was a standout athlete and was a wonderful actress and dancer. Throughout her life, she recalled her athletic skills on the ski slopes in the winter months.

After graduating amid World War II, she took an electrical draftsman's position at MIT, as most of the men were away in the service. Upon the end of the war, she began working in department stores, taking positions with Jordan's and Filene's. She later returned to her childhood home, assisting her mother in raising foster children and caring for her own family. Frannie did return to the working world for a short time, taking a receptionist's position with the Junior League in Boston. While work was important, her faith had a much stronger role in her life. She was a dedicated member of the First Congregational Church in Sharon and remained active in the Dorcas Society.

Loving sister of Robert C. Hall of Sharon and the late William I. Hall.
Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Also survived by many cousins.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Frannie's Life Celebration on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 10-11 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, 29 N. Main Street, Sharon, MA 02067.
