Frances A. (Dornig) Burke, age 91 years, died in the Thomas Upham House in Medfield, Massachusetts on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on June 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Anton & Agnes (Rupina) Dornig. She graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1940. Frances was a life long resident of Walpole, Massachusetts.
She was employed as a secretary for Bird and Son in Walpole for 25 years.
Frances enjoyed camping, especially at the Bourne Senic Park on Cape Cod and hosting family diners in her home. She also enjoyed traveling and spending her winters in Ft. Myers Beach in Florida. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether babysitting or watching them play sports.
Beloved wife of the late James M. Burke. Loving mother of Patricia O'Donnell of Franklin, Michael Burke of Walpole, Daniel Burke of Waterville, Maine, Ann Marie Connolly of Walpole, and Paul Burke of Pittsfield, Maine. Cherished grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 7.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hour on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 10:30 a'" 11:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Thomas Upham House, Attn: Activities Director, 519 Main Street, Medfield, MA 02052
