Frances E. Anglin

Frances E. (Cone) Anglin, 88, passed peacefully at home in Walpole, Massachusetts on Friday, September 13, 2024. Born in Albany, New York on Christmas Day 1935, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Julia M. (Brazell) Cone. Fran was raised in Bennington, Vermont where she attended Mount Anthony High School. After her graduation with the class of 1952, Fran received an associates degree in secretarial studies from the College of Saint Joseph. Fran then moved to Boston to share an apartment with her sister Pat and began working for Limback Company, putting her secretarial degree to good use.

Fran met James Anglin in 1962 and they were married on June 15, 1963. Fran and Jim were married in Saint Francis Church in her hometown of Bennington. The young couple made their married home in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston before moving to Brockton, Massachusetts in 1968 to accommodate their growing family. During this time, Fran was a stay-at-home mom, and spent this time raising their children and taking care of her family.

A devout Catholic her entire life, Fran and her family joined Saint Edward's Church on the North side of Brockton. Her faith was incredibly important to her, and remained so throughout her life.

In 1999, Fran and Jim moved to South Yarmouth, Massachusetts and enjoyed many years on the Cape. Fran loved spending time with the many friends she made in their Blue Rock Heights neighborhood, as well as through the Parkinson’s group she and Jim were involved in. Fran and Jim enjoyed many wonderful years together. They enjoyed cruising with friends and traveling on their own to see Red Sox spring training. Fran and Jim moved to Walpole in 2014 to be closer to family.

Fran was an avid Red Sox, New England Patriots and Boston Celtics fan. She loved shopping, enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach, and spending time with friends. Most important to Fran was her family. She so dearly loved her four children and their spouses, and she was so incredibly proud of being Nana to her eight grandchildren.

Fran's health declined in her later years, but she was fortunate enough to have wonderful in-home care who became like family to her.

Beloved wife of the late James Leo Anglin.

Loving mother of Michael Anglin and his wife Pam of Cary, North Carolina, Daniel Anglin and his wife Jen of Norfolk, Virginia, Mary Beth Byrnes and her husband Paul of Walpole, and Matthew Anglin and his wife Amy of Walpole
