On November 3, 1950, Florence married the love of her life, Edward J. McCabe. Shortly after, in 1955, they settled in Norwood, Massachusetts and Florence took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. She remained in Norwood for 35 years, before moving to Walpole in 1993. Once living in Walpole, Florence became an active member of the Walpole Senior Center and as an avid walker, she joined the Walpole Walk Alongs.
She loved spending time at the beach and looked forward to her summer vacations at Cape Cod, especially in West Dennis. Most of all, Florence loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she loved teaching them how to bake her special chocolate chip cookies.
