Florence L. Burke

FLORENCE L. (SULLIVAN) BURKE AGE 97 YEARS passed away in her Norfolk Home on Thursday, November 9, 2006. Born on December 31, 1908 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. & Mary A. (Hanf) Sullivan.

Mrs. Burke attended Walpole High School before going to work for Kendall Mills.

She was a bowler in the Saint Jude's Womens Bowling League She loved swimming, gardening, bird watching, and especially loved cooking In 1927 she came in 3rd in five mile swimming race @ Lake Pearl in agaisnt both males and females

Beloved wife of the late Walter P. Burke Loving mother of Barbara F. Burke of Norfolk, Michael W. Burke of Foxboro. Cherished grandmother of 3, and great grandmother of 4 Pre deceased by 14 brothers and sisters. Many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated in Saint Judes Church on Monday, November 13, 2006 @ 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, November 13, 2006 8:30 - 9:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is private.
