Everett M. Proctor

Everett M. Proctor, Jr., age 87 years, died in the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on February 7, 1927, he was the son of the late Everett M. and Katherine L. (Howe) Proctor. His high school education was interrupted by World War II, when he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was discharged in 1946 as a Pharmacist’s Mate Third Class. He resumed his education and graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1947. Everett was a life long resident of East Walpole, Massachusetts.
 

He spent his working career as a dental technician. He was self employed for many years before joining West Somerville Dental, where he worked for 15 years, retiring in 2001.

Everett was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf. He, along with his wife Catherine, enjoyed traveling all over the world, especially to Europe and wintering in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Beloved husband of the late Catherine B. (Collins) Proctor. Loving father of Mary E. and her husband Jim Griffin of Walpole and the late Everett M. "Marty" Proctor, III. Cherished grandfather of Jim, Lindsay, Amy, and Rachel Griffin all of Walpole. Brother of Joan Keating of East Walpole and Barbara Proctor of East Walpole. Uncle of Kenneth Keating of Foxboro.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Everett’s Life Celebration on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 10-11 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
