Evelyn P. Clerici

June 30, 1926 — December 28, 2017

Evelyn P. (Tierney) Clerici, age 91, beloved wife of James Clerici of Walpole, MA, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2017.

Cherished mother of Timothy Tierney and his wife Deborah of Phoenix, Arizona, Theresa Cunniff and her husband Charles of Falmouth, Maine, Deborah Ela and her husband Jay of Franklin, Massachusetts, Michael Tierney of Walpole, Massachusetts, Cheryl Clerici of Brighton, Massachusetts, and Gary Clerici of Stoughton, Massachusetts.

Daughter of the late Josephine (Barahona) and Wilfred Belanger, and sister of the late Josephine Ann Ahern.

Devoted grandmother to Erin, Ryan, Jeremy, Patrick, Jason, Shawn, Michael, Kimberly, Nicholas, Lyndsey, Taylor, Paul, and Angelina. Great grandmother to Kallie, Tucker, Mason, and Ava.

While raising her family, Evelyn attended night school at the Henry O. Peabody School of Nursing, until earning her degree as an L.P.N. After retiring from her nursing career, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, researching genealogy, spending winters in Mesa, Arizona, and was always ready for a trip to Dairy Queen!

Evelyn was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and served for many years as a eucharistic minister. She never went to sleep at night without first saying the Rosary and running through her "prayer list" asking for blessings for all of her loved ones, including their address, "so God would know where to find them."

A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole, MA 02081. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
