Mrs. Evangeline M. (O'Connor) Cunniff age 82, died in her East Walpole home on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daugher of John and Geneva (McDevitt) O'Connor. Mrs. Cunniff was raised in Roslindale, and graduated from Roslindale High School with the Class of 1945. A resident of Walpole since 1967, moving here from Norfolk and Roslindale. Mrs. Cunniff worked as an administrative assistant for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston, before she raised her family. Once the children reached high school , she went back to work at Factory Mutual Insurance Company in Norwood. She was active in St. Mary's Church East Walpole for many years. First as a volunteer and later she taught Sunday School. An avid gardener, as well as bird watcher. She could watch the bird from her kitchen table. She also enjoyed drawing. Her greatest joy came from her Grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late James F. Cunniff Loving mother of Linda M. Cunniff of Foxboro, James M.Cunniff of Japan, Glenn P.Cunniff of Mansfield and Steven J.Cunniff of Upton Cherished grandmother of Nathan Cunniff, Nicholas Cunniff both of Japan, Natalie Cunniff and Rachel Cunniff both of Mansfield. Sister of Cecelia Carr of Roslindale, Fr. Mark O'Connor of NY, Dorothy Dyer of Roslindale, the late Genevieve Mitchell, the late Warren O'Connor, the late Mary Gertrude O'Hmeyer, and the late William O'Connor Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Monday, September 21, 2009 @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, September 20, 2009, from 4pm to 7pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Saint Francis Cemetery , Walpole.
