Eugene R. O'Rourke

Eugene R. O'Rourke age 78 years died in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 27, 1935, he was the son of the late James F. and Dorothy M. (Hill) O'Rourke. He graduated from Dedham High School with the class of 1953. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for over 40 years, and had previously lived in Raynham and Dedham.

Eugene was an exterminator and operated Framingham/Walpole Pest Control. In addition he was and EMT working at the Chaulk Ambulance Company Framingham and worked as a butcher in West Brookline.

He was a member of the DAV and enjoyed boating, motorcycles, and cars. He enjoyed the good times spent dancing and listening to music. In addition, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends when they were RVing.

Beloved husband of the late Judith A. (Embree) O'Rourke. Loving father of Debra Darling of Carver, Eugene R. O'Rourke, Jr. of Brighton, Richard O'Rourke of Norton, Nancy Starziski of Naugatuck, CT, and Susan Demers of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of 12. Brother of the late James O'Rourke.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Eugene's Life Celebration on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
