Enid (Monaghan) Garbaczeski, formerly of Walpole, died at the Lafayette Convalescence Home in Marblehead on June 14, 2012. Born in Warrington, England, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Monaghan and Mary Ann (Norton) Monaghan. After attending St. Mary's school she worked at Ryland's in the accounting department.

In 1946 she emigrated to the United States where she married Charles Garbaczeski whom she had met in England in 1942. She was an avid Red Sox fan and saw every 1947 home Red Sox game from the bleachers. She worked at SS Pierce in Brookline before moving to Walpole in 1952. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Women's Club, worked at the Country Kitchen Donuts, and enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, baking and knitting for family and friends.

Enid was the beloved wife of the late Charles P. Garbaczeski, loving mother of Paul Garbaczeski of Plymouth and Megan Taylor of Marblehead and cherished grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 1. She is survived by her sister Joyce and her husband Thomas Taylor of Warrington, England.

Interment was held at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Bourne.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Enid to the Enid Garbaczeski Teaching Scholarship. Checks must be made payable to Walpole High School and can be mailed to: Walpole High School, 275 Common Street, Walpole, MA 02081.
