Elizabeth M. “Betty” Mingels, age 94, passed away peacefully in the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts on Monday, November 19, 2018. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on March 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Elizabeth A. (Gulat) Mingels. As a lifelong resident of Walpole, Massachusetts, Betty graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1941. She furthered her education at the Gillis Business School, earning her certificate two years later.
Betty spent her career at Hollingsworth and Vose in East Walpole, working as the executive secretary to the Vice President of Research and Design. She retired in 1989, after 38 years of dedicated service. In addition to her professional career, Betty was the primary care giver for both her mother and father and later for her brother after he suffered a stroke.
Betty looked forward to her annual trip to Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island in Florida, a tradition she started in 1960. Back at home, as a devoted music fan, Betty spent countless hours perfecting her piano playing skills.

Loving sister of the late George W. T. Mingels.
Cherished aunt of Jeffrey T. Mingels and his wife Cindy of Westwood, Gregory T. Mingels and his wife Karin of Wrentham, and Bradley T. Mingels and his wife Amy of Scituate.
Longtime companion of the late Malcolm “Bud” White.
Also survived by many grand nieces, grand nephews, one great niece, and one great nephew as well as Bud’s children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Betty’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 12 to 1 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walpole Food Pantry, P.O. Box 43, Walpole, MA 02081.
