Elizabeth (Khoury) Mezzaoui, age 92, passed away peacefully at Dedham Health Care on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Born in Haifa, Palestine on March 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Mouhana) Khoury.
Elizabeth married her beloved husband, Moin Mezzaoui, on May 6, 1945 and they welcomed three children, Maged, Mona, and Mounir. In addition to raising her family, Elizabeth worked as an electronics technician during the 1950s in Lebanon. As a talented businesswoman, who could speak many languages, she went on to own and operate several businesses throughout her life. She and Moin eventually settled in Vancouver, Canada, where they became Canadian citizens. More recently, in 2009, Elizabeth moved to Walpole, Massachusetts to be close to with her son, Mounir.

Loving mother of Mona El Khoury and her husband, Hamid, of France, Mounir Mazzawi and his wife, Julianne, of Walpole, and the late Maged Mazzaoui and his surviving wife, Lilian, of Vancouver, Canada.
Cherished grandmother of Moin, Marwan, Mario, Ramez, Betty, Marta, Malek, and Max and great grandmother of Josie and Lucas.
Sister of the late Alfred, Elvira, Adele, Angela, Joseph, and Eli.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and members of her extended family.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole, Massachusetts on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Catholic Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Interment will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norwood Adult Day Health Center, 595 Pleasant Street, Norwood, Massachusetts 02062.
