Elizabeth A. (Sullivan) MacDonald, age 84, passed away in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Born in the Dorchester area of Boston, Massachusetts on August 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Shanahan) Sullivan. She attended Jeremiah Burke High School with the Class of 1946.
Elizabeth married her husband, John C. MacDonald, on May 25, 1952 and honeymooned in Newport, where they often returned. Together they made their home in Walpole, where they raised their family and became a members of Blessed Sacrament Church. As a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Elizabeth spent many years volunteering her time teaching CCD.
She loved taking vacations, whether to Lake Winesquam or taking one of her famous "Dudleys" to Ireland. In addition, she enjoyed trips to Castle Island, swimming and spending time with her "Club Girls." However, most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for her family, except on Thursdays, as it was fend for yourself night, and was always quick with a nickname for her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

Cherished grandmother of J.C., Kristin, Ryan, Charlie, Cameron, David, Danielle, and Alex.
Sister of M. Eileen Pacuska of Holbrook, Lawrence Sullivan of CA, James Sullivan of CA, and the late Cornelius Sullivan.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Elizabeth's Life Celebration on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 10:30-11 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either: the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
