Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Pacella) Cipolla died in her Foxborough Home on Saturday Evening, December 30th, 2006. She was 71. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 6th, 1935, the daughter of Celia (DiPlacido) Pacella and the late Michael Pacella. She was raised in Boston, and graduated in 1953 from the Jeremiah Burke High School.
An office manager in the construction field for over 50 years. She began her career with Pacella Bros, moving on to Manning Construction, James Paul Construction, Dedham Sand & Gravel Company. Left the construction field and for 10 years worked on the fund raising at the Neponset Valley Health Care System. Back to construction for her brother at J.R. Pacella in Westford and for her son at United Consultants in Wrentham.
She loved music and to travel. Her travels took her through Europe, South America , Italy, Greece and in the USA.
Betty has been a member of the Order Sons of Italy for over 50 years, beginning her membership with the Dorchester Lodge, where she served as President. In 1985, she was elected State Trustee from District 5 and served in this capacity for 4 years, the last two of which, she was elected to serve as Chairman of the Trustees. She also served on many committees on the State level, including the Membership Committee. In 1989, she was elected to serve as Commissioner for the Benefit Insurance Commission, an arm of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts OSIA. She served in this capacity for 4 years, was then elected secretary for 6 additonal years, ans is serving her 8th year as Treasurer of this Commission. She was Co-founder of the Walpole a'" Foxboro Lodge, is now serving as its President and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, named in memory of her late husband Ferdinando "Chip" Cipolla. She is a member of the Italian American Club of Walpole and served as it President for 2 years. Betty also served as a National Delegate to the National Conventions of OSIA.

Pacella of Florida and the late Michael Pacella step mother of Camille Duclos of S. Attleboro Sister of Michael Pacella, Jr. of Westford, Joseph Pacella of Middleboro, and Richard Pacella of Foxboro. also survived by many nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church Rt # 27 (East Street) @ Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, January 4, 2007 @ 11 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, January 3, 2007 3pm to 8pm in James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole, Massachusetts .
