Elizabeth Jane Cargill

June 15, 1944 — April 20, 2021

Elizabeth Jane (Kamin) Cargill, age 76, of East Walpole, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hosptial in Needham, Massachusetts.  Born in Windsor Ontario, Canada on June 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Goldie (Cohen) Kamin.  She was raised in Windsor and graduated from Alma College with the Class of 1963.  Jane continued her education at the University of Indiana, where she earned her associate's degree with a concentration in music.

While visiting relatives in Boston, Jane took a day trip to Horseneck Beach, where she met the love of her life, Christopher R. Cargill, by chance while he was at the beach with a friend.  After dating for some time and traveling the world together, Jane and Chris were married on February 25, 1967.  They eventually made their home in East Walpole, Massachusetts in 1969, where Jane took on the role of a homemaker, spending countless hours decorating the interior of their house.  In addition to decorating, Jane worked alongside her husband, helping to manage his contracting business.

Throughout her life, Jane loved caring for her dogs.  Most recently, she had two Tibetan Terriers and a Golden Retriever following her around her home.  Jane did not only keep the inside of her home in perfect order, but she also ensured the gardens around the outside of the house were well kept.  Most of all, Jane loved to travel, taking various trips with her husband, Chris, around the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean.  In addition, she and Chris took many trips back to Canada, visiting Jane's many cousins and extended family.  Jane was incredibly generous with her time and talents, well read, and a wonderful listener.

Jane is the beloved wife of Christopher R. Cargill.
She is also survived by her numerous cousins in both Canada and the United States, as well as her many friends in Walpole.
