Elizabeth H. Badala

Elizabeth H. (Nannicelli) “Betty” Badala, age 98, died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Born in Hyde Park, Massachusetts on April 16, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Mary Concetta (Amicangioli) Nannicelli. She graduated fro Hyde Park High School with the class of 1935. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1955 moving from Hyde Park.

Betty spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family, and was a member of the Sons of Italy Ladies Auxillary.

Beloved wife of Vincent J. Badala, Sr. Loving mother of Roger N. Badala of Walpole, Mary and her husband Peter Connolly of Foxboro, and Vincent J. Badala, Jr. of Pittsfield. Cherished grandmother of Kevin and his wife Susan Connolly of Franklin, Kristin and her husband Shawn Buckley of Foxboro, Meagan and her husband Ken Leach of Smithfield, RI. Great Grandmother of 10.  Sister of Marie Keezer of East Walpole, the late Arthur Nannicelli, the late John Nannicelli, the late Emilio Nannicelli and the late Laura Nannicelli. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Elizabeth’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM and Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 9 to 9:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
