Elfriede Fox

Elfriede (Hartung) Fox, age 80 years, died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Born in Mannhein, Germany, on July 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Martha Hartung. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1964 moving from Wollaston.

She served as a Nurse's Assistant at the Maples Nursing Home in Wrentham for 13 years. In addition, she worked in the Foxboro State Hospital for a number of years as a seamstress.

She enjoyed taking care of her home, cooking, reading, and loved all animals. She loved going to the beach, especially on the North Shore and Virginia Beach.

Beloved wife of Gerald D. Fox. Loving mother of Toni Fox of Walpole, Gabriele Foley of Mansfield, and Christine Fox of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Foley of Mansfield, Colette Schofield of Walpole, Crystal Fox of New London, CT, and Eric Fox of Walpole.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hour on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 2-3 PM at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
