Eleanor P. Terpstra

Eleanor P. Terpstra, age 86, passed away in Norwood Hospital on Tuesday, March 8,2016. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on April 6,1929, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Mary (Farrell) Terpstra. Eleanor was raised in Walpole and graduated from Walpole High with the class of 1947.

After graduation Eleanor took a position as an operator at Pondville Hopspital, later on she went to work for MCI of Norfolk as a secretary. She later settled down at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital as a treasurer. She retired in April of 1987 after 40 years of dedicated service.

In her spare time, Eleanor enjoyed reading and knitting.

Devoted daughter of the late Luke and Mary (Farrell) Terpstra.
Loving sister of Mary H. Manning of Wrentham, Jean E. Saster of Franklin, Robert Terpstra of East Walpole, Thomas F. Terpstra of Norfolk, the late Luke E. Terpstra, Arthur K. Terpstra.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Eleanor's Life Celebration at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 9-10 AM. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Terrace Hill Cemetery in South Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
