Eleanor Charlotte Guy

Mrs. Eleanor Charlotte (Swanson) Guy age 87 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, from complications of Diabetes and Pneumonia. Born in Norwood Hospital on July 3, 1923, she was the youngest daughter of Carl E. and AlmaMarie (Neilson) Swanson. She graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1942. She was a life long resident of Walpole. Mrs. Guy worked at Kendall Mills for over 42 years and retired in 1986. Beloved wife of the late Nathan S. Guy Loving mother of Deborah S. and her husband Lawrence W. McDavitt, Jr. of East Walpole, Denise Guy and her life partner Edward L. Smith of Bowling Green, Florida, and Martin G. Guy of Concord. Cherished grandmother of Christopher S. Costello of Walpole, Matthew D. Costello and his girlfriend Jennifer A. Pineo of North Attleboro, Kelley A. and her husband Paul A. Lonergan of South Walpole, and Nathan D. Costello of East Walpole. She was adoringly called G.G. by her two precious great granddaughters Emma K and Halley A. Lonergan of South Walpole. Sister of Carl R. Swanson of Walpole, the late Eva S. Rooney and the late Anna M. Landry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her three life long friends Eleanor Orlando, Ann Rusetti, and Yvette Shore all of Walpole. Private services were held from the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole, with interment in Rural Cemetery, Walpole.
