Edward J. Marino, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 29, 1957, he was the son of Pasquale "Patsy" J. and Joan E. (D'Espinosa) Marino. Eddie was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he attended Walpole Public Schools.
Eddie began his working career in the warehouses behind Norwood Hospital and later took a position with the Walpole Woodworkers, quickly learning about many aspects of building maintenance and repair. He developed his skills to become a jack of all trades, spending many years in the janitorial services field, caring for various office buildings in the area. More recently, Eddie took a position with the Norfolk Agricultural High School in Walpole, serving as a janitor and ensuring the campus was well maintained.
Throughout his life, Eddie was an avid Boston sports fan, remaining loyal to the hometown teams through the good years and the bad. His love for sports did not end in the stands, as he looked forward to hitting the links at his favorite golf courses, including Sharon Country Club, Brook Meadow, Ponkapoag, and Chamawa. Following a day on the course, Eddie enjoyed relaxing at home, playing video games and listening to his favorite rock and roll music from the 1970s. Most of all, Eddie loved spending time with his family, whether playing a round of cribbage or watching the big game together.
