Edward L. Hartmann

Mr. Edward L. Hartmann died in the Stanley Tippett House Hospice on Monday, February 12th, 2007. Born in Newark, New Jersey, the son of the late Edward L. & Agnes (Griffin) Hartmann. (note: Family prefers no age listed.) Raised and educated in New Jersey, he later attended Boston University.

A resident of Walpole since 1958 moving here from Seekonk, Massachusetts and he was a long time winter resident of Pompano Beach Florida.

Mr. Hartmann was the Regional Sales Manager for the pharmaceutical company. He retired in 1978 as a regional sales manager of the American Chicle Co., a division of the Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical Co.

His interests inclued his love for travel, coin collecting, he was a well known and respected numismatist , golf both here and in Florida, and an avid Walker

While at Boston University he was in the ROTC program.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy I. (Jackson) Hartmann, loving father of Edward L. Hartmann Jr., Kathy E. Turco , Pamela H. O'Neil all of Walpole, Robert J. Hartmann of Windsor, Ct , Michael G. Hartmann of Walpole and the late Dorothy Hartmann MacKay. Cherished grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 9, great great grandfather of 2 Beloved friend of Frances Smith of Walpole

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church Rt 27 (East Street) @ Diamond Street Walpole on Saturday, February 17, 2007 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Friday evening, February 16, 2007 from 4pm to 8pm in James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
