Edward A. Dowling

Mr. Edward A. Dowling age 71 years died peacefully in his Walpole home on Friday afternoon, August 28, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 7, 1938, the son of Hubert and Mildred (Morrison) Dowling. He was a 1956 graduate of Brighton High School.

Mr. Dowling was a resident of Walpole for the past 30 years, moving here from Brighton.

Ed was an avid golfer and fisherman. He loved to watch his New England Patriots.

He spent over 40 years in the Food Service Industry. He retired from Butcherie, II in Canton.

Beloved husband of Shirley (Kinch) Dowling. Loving father of Cheryl Mariano of Brighton and Lynn Sinotte of Billerica. Step father of Charles M. Zarba, Lisa Schauerte both of Walpole, Julie Burchfield of Mashpee, Christine Sellon of Weymouth, and the late James Zarba. Cherished grandfather of 15. Brother of Herbert Dowling, Norma Rufo both of Waltham, and Jean Everett of Nashua, NH. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Monday, August 31, 2009 from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole, Massachusetts.
