EDITH M. "JEEP" (BRIERLEY) WOOD, age 87 of Norwood and formerly of Walpole May 24, 2007

She enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, reading, square dancing, and vacations in New Hampshire and the Cape Seashore.

Edith was a homemaker and loved cooking and baking. She and George's favorite pastime was dining out at various restaurants. She met George when they were both 15 at Norwood High School, and they went together until they married at age 21. Last year they celebrated their 65th anniversary.

Edith and George lived in Walpole for 53 years before moving to Norwood in 2004.

Beloved wife of her husband George A. Wood for 65 years. Loving mother of Steven G. Wood and his wife Ann, of Norwood. Devoted grandmother of William E. Wood and his wife Dawn of Tacoma, Washington. Sister of Mildred Joseph of Centerville, and the late Roy Brierley of Norwood. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Wednesday @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-6PM.
