Dorothy A. Zadourian

Dorothy A. (Johnson) "Dottie" Zadourian, age 88, passed away in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Born in Everett, Massachusetts on January 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Sylvia (Bolstad) Johnson. She was raised in Dorchester is a 1945 graduate of Boston's Jeremiah Burke High School. After graduation, she took a position as a bookkeeper with the Boston Gas Company.

Dorothy married Edward N. Zadourian on September 7, 1946 and they made their home first in Dorchester before settling in West Roxbury in the late 1940's.

After moving to West Roxbury, Dorothy worked for Sandy's, which later became King's Department Store. She later worked as a bookkeeper for United Liquors and Kentucky Fried Chicken in West Roxbury, before moving to Sanford, Florida in 1982, where she worked for J.C. Penney.

In 1993, after her husband passed, Dorothy moved to Boynton Beach, Florida, where she loved spending time with her friends, playing cards, bingo and traveling to area casinos. She relocated to Walpole, Massachusetts in 2014 to be closer to her family.

Loving mother of Edward R. Zadourian of Westfield, NJ, Susan E. Affanato of Norton, and Judy R. Ryan-Decker of Walpole.
Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and great grandmother of eleven great grandchildren.
Sister of Gertrude Kulberg of Sandwich, the late Elsie Crowley, the late Blanche Merriam, and the late Edith West.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Dorothy's Celebration of Life that will be held at the Old Colonial Café, Nahatan Street, Norwood on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 12-3 PM. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted at the request of the family and interment will be private.
