Dorothy Ann Wilbur

Dorothy Ann Wilbur, age 83, passed away in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Monday, December 28, 2015. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Margaret (Walsh) Wilbur. She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts and had also lived in East Walpole and South Walpole.

She was married shortly after graduation and took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her 8 children. In the 1970's she began working at Rand Posters on Norfolk Street in Walpole, before earning a position at Raytheon in Norwood in 1978 as a board technician. After leaving Raytheon in 1984, she began working with the Merry Maids and later retired as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn Express, formerly the Super 8 Motel, in Sharon in 2006.

In her retirement, Dorothy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Roberts and his wife Roberta of Walpole, Patricia A. Owens and her husband Craig of Franklin, Steven A. Roberts of North Easton, and Kevin A. Roberts and his wife Sandra of Mansfield.
Cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 5.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A memorial service will be held in the Funeral Home following the visitation at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private.
