Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Tomasello, 73, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in Boston on December 18, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (MacDougall) Guardabascio. She was raised in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Dottie married her beloved husband, Paul Vincent Tomasello, on September 3, 1971. The young couple went on to make their home in Norwood, Massachusetts, where they raised their son, Paul. After working various jobs over the years, Dottie took a position with Butler Automatic in Canton, working as an administrative assistant. She later began her career with the American Red Cross, in their Dedham office, serving as an administrative assistant until her retirement.
Following her retirement, Dottie and Paul made their home in Maine before settling in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, enjoying the tranquility of the nature around them.
Dottie enjoyed a simple life, taking in all the beauty that surrounded her. After her retirement, she looked forward to some quiet time, completing crossword puzzles and knitting projects in her home. However, she always looked forward to gathering with her family to celebrate the holidays or any other special occasions. She was delighted at the birth of her grandchildren, earning the title of "Grammy" and treasuring every minute she spent with Matilda and Beatrice.

Cherished grandmother of Matilda H. Tomasello and Beatrice D. Tomasello.
Sister of Antoinette Stonefield and her husband, Edward, of Bedford, New Hampshire, Susan Dunn and her late husband, Paul, of Dedham, Mary Kay Guardabascio of Norwood, Anna Pope and her husband, Kyle, of Dedham, Nicholas Guardabascio of Dedham and his wife Lori, Anthony Guardabascio of Woodstock, New Hampshire, Connie Guardabascio of South Attleboro, Peter Guardabascio of Norwood, Jane Carme and her husband, Spencer, of Hudson, and the late Jeannie Lynch.
Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Dottie's Life Celebration on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole, with a funeral home service to follow. Interment will take place privately.
