Dorothy E. Powers

Mrs. Dorothy E. (Elwell) Powers age 95 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital , Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 17th, 2010. Born in Canton, Massachusetts on April 10th, 1915 the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Martin) Elwell. A 1932 graduate of Norwood High School.

A resident of East Walpole since 1947, moving here from Norwood. Mrs. Powers was a homemaker for all of her adult life. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Maine to see relatives, and would rent a cottage on Belgrade Lake.

Beloved wife of the late William H. Powers Devoted daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Martin) Elwell Loving aunt of David A. Elwell of Bath, Maine, Dorothy F. Kingsbury of Vasselboro, Maine, Sr. Ellen Powers of East Walpole, Marlene Gibson of OK.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 @ 11AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 10 - 11AM at the Funeral Home . Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, Massachusetts.
