Dorothy Kathryn Mahoney

Mrs. Dorothy Kathryn (Powell) Mahoney age 82 years died in the Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, April 18th, 2007. Born on April 15, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts , the daughter of the late John & Helen (Foley) Powell. A 1944 graduate of Cathedral High School in the South End of Boston. A retired Clerk for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston. She retired in 1974 with over 12 years of service.

A resident of Walpole for the past 32 years.

Mrs. Mahoney and her husband loved to vacation on Cape Cod. All the times she spent with her family especially her grandchildren were her favorite times.

Beloved wife of John J. Mahoney Loving mother of Ellen T. and her husband Mark Quigley of Westwood, John J. Mahoney, Jr , Timothy P. and his wife Nadine Mahoney all of Peabody, Carol A. and her husband Bruce McIntyre of Concord, Ohio, Dorothy K. and her husband Paul Whiffen of Taunton, and Peggy Mahoney of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 1 Sister of Barbara O'Connell of Newton, John R. Cuneo f Cohasset, and the late Helen Kostigen also survived by several nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Saint Margaret Mary's Church Route 109 @ Nahatan Street Westwood on Saturday, April 21, 2007 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, April 20, 2007 from 4pm to 8 pm in James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
