Dorothy Marion Lindsay

Mrs. Dorothy Marion (Trombley) Lindsay, age 86 years died in the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Franklin, Massachusetts on Thursday August 30th, 2007. Born in Leicester Junction, Vermont on May 27th, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph Edward & Eva Lucy (Swenor) Trombley. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1933 and was a 1939 graduate of Walpole High School.

Mrs. Lindsay is a retired clerk from the Purchasing Department at Bird Machine Shop in South Walpole. She retired in 1982 with over 33 years of service.

She was an avid reader; a very thoughtful person, having cards ready for all occassions. Hard working taking care of her house, her family and her work. One of her greatest joys is getting her hand dirty by working in her flower gardens.

Beloved wife of the late Ellsworth L. Lindsay Loving mother of Robert L. and his wife NancyEllen (Lyons) Lindsay of Mansfield, and Geraldine V. Webster and Wayne Stokes of South Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Duane G. Lindsay of Walpole , Troy J. Lindsay of Mendon, Richard M. Hinkson, Jr. of Norwood and Robert M. Hinkson of New Hampshire. sister of Ruth Murray of Sharon and the late Forest Swenor also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service that will be held in James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 @ 2:00 PM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 4pm to 8pm . Interment Terrace Hill Cemetery Walpole, Massachusetts . Memorial donations may be made to: Caritas Visiting Nurse Association 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, Massachusetts 02081.
