Dorothy G. Hayes

Mrs. Dorothy G. (Gaines) Hayes age 87 years died in her Walpole Home on Saturday, April 2, 2011. Born in Smith Station, Alabama, the daughter of Charlie H. and Thelma E. (Greer) Gaines. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1958.

Mrs. Hayes was a Registered Nurse at the Glover Hospital in Needham, which is now known as the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham Campus. She retired from there in 1983 with over 20 years of service.

She was a member of the United States Cadet Nurses.

Beloved wife of the late John M. Hayes. Loving mother of John M. Hayes Jr. of Millis, Dorothy Hayes Morin and, Elizabeth Ann Hayes both of Franklin, and Charles R. Hayes of Walpole. Cherished Grandmother of Audra Lynn Scott and Jarred Hugh Hayes Scott, and Great Grandmother of Jackson Hugh Scott Lejsek. Sister of the late Audrey Cross, and the late Barbara William. Good friend of Eileen Fagan of Wellesley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Memorial Service in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 1PM. Interment is Private.
