Dorothy A. Feldman

Dorothy A. (Gookin) Feldman age 83 years died in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, June 24, 2012. Born in Boston on June 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Esther (Carrighan) Gookin. She graduated from Roslindale High School with the class of 1947. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1956 moving there from West Roxbury.

Mrs. Feldman was a homemaker for all of her adult life, raising and caring for her family.

She gave of herself by volunteering her sevices to all, including driving to doctor's appointments and being a companion.

Mrs. Feldman enjoyed movies, keeping up with current events, and working on several crafts. She was also an avid reader. Most important was her family, she loved spending time with them and her life revolved around them.

Beloved wife of the late Dale E. Feldman. Loving mother of Dale V. and his wife Judy Feldman of Walpole, Lisa Vitkauskas of Sagamore, Mary Feldman and her husband Richard Sotir of Norfolk, Thomas Feldman of Norwood, Sheila Shea of Millis, Gerard and his wife Deborah Feldman of Walpole, Douglas Feldman and his wife Nancy Donahue of Walpole, William Feldman and his wife Judy Zimmerman of Norton. Cherished grandmother of Natalie, Aubrey, Joseph Feldman, Alexander, Vanessa Sotir, Mary Joyce Shea, Christopher, Bridget Feldman, Jessica, Tiffany, Colton, Jared, Liam, Colin Feldman, great grandmother of Brody Ozga. Sister of John Gookin of Walpole, Vincent Gookin of Florida, the late Ruth Causaduvell, the late Mary Burt, the late Thomas Gookin, the late Esther Baker, and the late James Gookin.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 4 to 7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
