Doris L. O'Connell

Doris L. (Huntington) O’Connell, age 90 years, died at Southern Maine Health Care Center in Sanford, Maine on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on May 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Florence (Wylie) Huntington. She graduated from Bangor High School in Maine with the class of 1940. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1965 moving from Norwood, where she lived for 14 years. She had previously resided in Guilford, Maine. Doris was employed at the Kendall Company in Walpole as a machine operator for 20 years, retiring in 1985. Beloved wife of the late William J. O'Connell. Loving mother of William J. "Joseph" O'Connell, III of Walpole, Gerardine A. McDowell of Alfred, ME, Linda J. Steele of Walpole, and Kathleen B. Cerullo of Alfred, ME. Cherished grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 27, and great great grandmother of 3. Sister of the late Walter Huntington. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Doris’ Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 4-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
